Category Management

Category Management is an integral part of AdFox, allowing administrators to manage and organize the main and sub-categories efficiently. This section ensures a streamlined experience for users when they navigate through different categories on the platform.

Main Category Management​

Overview:​

  • The main categories are listed visibly in this section.
  • Each main category can have an associated icon for easy identification.
  • Administrators have the option to add, edit, or delete main categories as needed.

How to Use:​

  1. Adding Main Categories:

    • Click on the 'Add Main Category' button.
    • Fill in the category name and upload an icon.
    • Save the changes, and the new category will be listed in the main category list.

  2. Editing Main Categories:

    • Click on the 'Edit' button next to the main category you wish to modify.
    • Change the category name and/or icon.
    • Save the changes.

  3. Deleting Main Categories:

    • Click on the 'Delete' button next to the main category you wish to remove.
    • Confirm the deletion.

Sub-Category Management​

Overview:​

  • Sub-categories fall under main categories and help in further organizing the ads.
  • There are no icons for sub-categories.
  • Administrators can add, edit, or delete sub-categories within each main category.

How to Use:​

  1. Navigating to Sub-Categories:

    • Click on a main category from the list.
    • This action will navigate you to a new page listing all sub-categories under the selected main category.

  2. Adding Sub-Categories:

    • Click on the 'Add Sub-Category' button.
    • Provide the sub-category name.
    • Save the changes, and the new sub-category will appear in the list under the respective main category.

  3. Editing Sub-Categories:

    • Click on the 'Edit' button next to the sub-category you wish to modify.
    • Change the sub-category name as needed and save.

  4. Deleting Sub-Categories:

    • Click on the 'Delete' button next to the sub-category to be removed.
    • Confirm the deletion.

Effective Category Management​

  • Consistency: Maintain a consistent naming convention for categories and sub-categories for a cleaner and user-friendly interface.
  • Organization: Regularly review and organize categories to ensure they meet the users’ needs and market trends.

With a well-structured Category Management section, administrators can efficiently organize and manage categories, providing a smooth and intuitive navigation experience for all users on the AdFox platform.
